A leading beauty & health industry company approached our agency in March 2023 to design and build a consumer-facing online marketplace to educate clients about hair loss, and feature hair care, hair loss and professional beauty products from their featured brands.  

Big Deal Agency’s creative department designed the entire look & feel for the brand, formulating a bespoke style guide with fonts, colors and a strict set of branding rules. Following the approved guide, our web development team got to work, building out a wireframe for a massive Shopify e-commerce marketplace to house thousands of products.

We used this wireframe to custom-design the entire user experience with UI-UX guidance, featuring a custom user funnel, custom image swatches, and easily navigable product categories.

To fulfill a new client requirement after the project had already been underway, Big Deal created and designed a vendor portal and interface; a function that allows 3rd party product vendors to join the marketplace through an approval process, upload, manage and sell their own products, and process transactions.

Another additional layer of complexity included a wholesale buyer component, with vendors and site admins being able to set custom pricing and discounts across thousands of products for groups, or individuals carrying wholesale status.

The massive project was delivered despite additional requirements, and currently functions as the clients’ premier consumer-facing marketplace.
